About Me
Dori has over 30 years of healthcare experience in pediatric oncology nursing and has held numerous leadership roles. She has designed and facilitated staff, team and leadership development programs integrating coaching. She has seen the value of coaching to create insights that lead to behavior change in individuals as they strive for personal and professional growth. She has worked with many clients in both private and public sectors to foster their transition to a more authentic self that demonstrates openness, curiosity, and compassion within the relationship, striving for healthy conversations even amid difficult times. Dori has presented at numerous conferences, most recently she spoke on coaching, leadership, and rising up from her trauma journey.
Dori has a collaborative approach to the development of all people from different walks of life or roles be them physicians, female first responders, leaders, citizens, and teams to co-create meaningful retreats, team days, programs and relationships. Her mantra is ‘it’s all about the learning’, and builds experiential learning modalities into all her programs and coaching.
Dori lives on tranquil Salt Spring Island, BC, where she enjoys hiking with her compassion dog, playing in the water, and never tiring of the spectacular sunsets from her deck. She hosts intimate retreats that foster a deep dive and ‘a path inward to a truer you’. Her property on Salt Spring Island has become known for its magical, healing, and peaceful space to nourish, recharge and renew.
Dori has a BScN from U of Alberta, an MA in Leadership, and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University. She is a licensed facilitator for Coaching Out of the Box™ and a member of the International Coach Federation, Institute of Coaching (Harvard Medical School), and the NeuroLeadership Institute. Dori is a certified practitioner for EQ in Action Profile and The LeadershipCircle 360 Assessment tool. She is a Certified Trauma-Informed Coach. She is a Kundalini yoga teacher and guides people each morning on zoom for a meditation practice.
