Janet is an Integral Master Coach, is an MTHS certified Trauma-Informed Relationship Coach and Trauma-informed Certified Coach and a Fellow CPA, Fellow CMA and Fellow CIPFA (UK). She is located in the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Anishinaabe and Algonquin peoples, in Elphin and Ottawa, Ontario.
Janet is a believer of lifelong learning and that our individual and professional contributions matter. Her coaching and facilitation practice, known as Taproot.jem.Systems, is grounded in decolonized traditions and approaches. For the past 9 years, she has held space for individuals & groups to explore, be curious & discover their agency in career, changemaker, climate, conflict, financial, leadership & trauma-informed coaching. She is an Associate Coach with MTHS, and a PHASE II COPE Coach with Wounded Warriors Canada, supporting veterans and first responders.
Janet’s curiosity and passion for human-centered development fuses a trauma-informed lens, empowering agency and emotional intelligence in an Integral, full-body perspective. Janet supports meaning making in inclusion, validation, freedom, and well-being protocols in supporting the sharing of experiences such as trauma, scarcity, loss and grief … cultivating abundance in the lives of her clients. Learning and working with global cultures in isolated locations and hardship postings is integrated, and shows up in her active volunteer coaching commitments with the Humanitarian Coaching Network.
When Janet is not undertaking professional pursuits, you will find her walking her dogs, spending time with her two grandchildren or taking for self, such as foraging in the forest near her cabin in Elphin, Ontario.
