About Me
-Vermont, USA
After studying psychology and biology in college, Lisa attended graduate school to become a marriage and family therapist. Halfway through that program, she had traumatic experiences that changed her path. Many years later, and still interested in helping people, she decided the forward thinking approach of coaching was a better fit for her.
"It's an honor to be invited to partner with people to find their own answers, so that they can achieve their goals. I love that in coaching, you don't get diagnosed or given advice. I listen deeply and ask questions that help clients find their own answers and sources of strength".
She has 4 years of experience leading and co-facilitating support groups for women who've experienced trauma. Her particular areas of interest include: PTSD, C-PTSD, post traumatic growth, ADHD and ADD, ASD, mental illness, addiction and recovery, dysfunctional FOO patterns, boundary work, chronic pain and physical illness, and how chronic stress impacts the human body and brain. She draws on her experience and knowledge of internal family systems (IFS), attachment styles, and other theories and modalities that have helped her on her own healing journey.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys being with family and friends, gardening, designing and decorating, organizing, reading, writing, and cooking for those she loves. She has lived in NY, MA, and MT, eventually settling in Vermont, where she's lived for most of her adult life. She lives with her husband, son, and rescue dog.
